After taking our family show ‘The Lighthouse Keeper’ to Rhythmtree, Camp Bestival, Ventnor Fringe, various Primary Schools and a sellout performance at the IW Story Festival in 2023, we’re excited to announce a BRAND NEW show for families… Vincent & The Mermaid. Inspired by the story from local author Jules Marriner.

Be the first to see this hilarious, interactive and accessible performance of Vincent and the Mermaid. The perfect show for the whole family to enjoy.

What would you do if all of your cakes floated away in the sea? Find out what Tabitha does when she’s ordered by the Mermaid Queen to bake for her birthday - and how a batty little friend comes to the rescue in this fun performance of the story, Jules Marriner’s
new book, Vincent and the Mermaid.

AVAILABLE TO LISTEN TO FOR FREE NOW!

Follow a story that was Ryde as it’s backbone… Spirit of the Place is a new work written and directed by Joe Plumb. The ten scenes of this sonic performance weave together real and fictional voices and chart the lives of our protagonists as they navigate life’s milestones. Download, stop and listen to each scene as you arrive at the corresponding Union Street location or sit back and listen at home, letting your imagination take over.

Spirit of the Place has been written and directed by Joe Plumb, performed by the Horse Box Theatre Company with support from Rachel Shore, Plastic Mermaids, Sassy Productions and the residents of Ryde, Isle of Wight. Produced by Ryde Arts and funded by Arts Council England.
